About this app

Bagavantana Pavitra Vachan means God's Holy Word (the Bible) which is the most popular book in the whole world. It has been translated into thousands of languages and now this important book is also available in Gondi.

The variety of Gondi contained in this App is primarily spoken in districts of Northern Telangana (Kumarambheem Asifabad, Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial and Karimnagar), and also in the neighbouring districts (Chandrapur and Yavatmal) of Maharashtra in Central India. These scriptures are presented in multiple scripts (Telugu, Hindi/Devanagari, Gunjala and Latin/Roman) along with a translation in English of the Gondi text. A synchronized audio recording of the Gondi text is available for download (opt-in if required) for most of the books. Additionally, the Gospel of John in English also has audio available (as an experimental feature).
