Can't remember for how long I've been waiting for this! Writing this review even before I have had the app installed. Edit : Yeah, so I checked out the app, and it's amazing. It's got everything I ever dreamt of in a Bulbapedia app! Web pages load super fast, I can easily zoom in and zoom out (although I usually don't need to do so), I can save the articles, and whatnot. Kudos to the devs!
Better and faster than using your browser to navigate Bulbapedia. Nice material design with cards. Shame that the material design doesn't extend to actual pages because that's the biggest complaint I have about Bulbapedia. However there is an option to change these pages to a dark theme. 5 stars would be rendering the same page content in app instead of just loading up the page in an embedded browser
Too much unused gutter space on the right side probably due to old CSS. Also the gap between subsections is a lot. Hope to see a mobile UI revamp with material design guidelines. Oh with the latest update it doesn't show news and events. Edit: The right edge gutter space problem has been fixed. Now work needs to be done on fixing tables inside the sections by making them dynamic and reordering them for vertical scrolling.
This is a great app. I love it. It's fast and convenient. I can check the Pokémon information I need to know about. It's cool that it has it's own tabs, so I can compare my Pokémon easily. The website was slowing down my phone a lot and making my phone hot. But the app doesn't have those two problems. The only issues are text size and long scrolling for in game information. The information should be more compact for phones. I've noticed that this app has been improving a lot, so I have no doubt that the issues will be fixed.
Constantly thinks I'm offline, when I'm connected to WiFi and have excellent cell reception. A nasty side effect is that the original website is a laggy, barely functional mess because of its efforts in advertising this app. I really want to like this app because Bulbapedia is my preferred source and the design of the app is beautiful, but it doesn't seem to function.
Just ported from the website. Now, don't get me wrong. It is way faster than opening up a browser and directing to the Bulba page. But it causes some lag and images take quite long to appear. I often find myself scrolling horizontally more than vertically.
Custom Pokémon feed with complete Pokédex (Gen I - VII), recommended articles (based on what you've been reading), a random page explore mode, and much more!
