Love it. I've tried Boxcryptor and Veracrypt but Cryptomator has just the right feature set for me. I don't need thumbnail previews, but it would be nice to have. I've heard of thumbnail cache leaks though so I'm ok without them. Love the simplicity, that I'm in control of security keys, open source, and the one time purchase not subscription. Perhaps that last one is my favorite. Oh yeah, despite screenshots it does have dark mode. The countdown until locked is cool. Happy with purchase.

It's good but, folder upload is lacking. This is incredibly tedious to use when uploading files in multiple folders! Screen time-out causes uploads to stop while in use. This option should only be active when not doing anything. Is it possible to add a local sync folder, for the vault(s), that encrypt and updates locally saved files to the encrypted vault(s) on the fly / automatically? Would it be possible to stop other apps from deleting the vaults? I imagine this might not be possible?

Thanks for the feedback. Folder upload will be implemented https://tinyurl.com/y2j3b82c. You can already disable in Cryptomator settings, that vaults get locked if screen timed out. Syncing a local folder will be implemented too https://tinyurl.com/yxqtt8bz. No, it is not possible to stop other programs from deleting vaults. Please stay tuned.

I guess I don't get it. Or, this app is entirely useless? I tried it out on my Debian desktop and it does the job - create a vault, add files, files are encrypted and hidden with I close the vault and app. Perfect! None of this works in the mobile app. Desktop doesn't support any of the cloud providers that the mobile app does, and the mobile app seems unfinished. I would have been willing to support, if I could simply encrypt, share between devices via cloud, and hide files.
