Possible problem with Unicode metadata Getting sporadic problems with adding mp3 songs, might be because the ID3 tags have Unicode in them. Sent a crash report, hoping for a quick reply and resolution
Working gapless playback! My device (OnePlus One) doesn't have built-in gapless playback support, so most audio player apps can't handle it. This one can! I think it's the only free non-trial version app that doesn't rely on firmware for gapless playback. Sure, basic features like lockscreen controls and an album view are missing, but I'll take gapless over those any day.
Great Needs ability to pause on lockscreen, don't like having to open player when need to pause quickly. Also needs smb and upnp. Otherwise the best.
Interface inexplicably lags on Android 5. Otherwise it's a very good player and the best one for playing files with embedded or external cuesheets. It even reads Wavpack with an embedded cuesheet - no other player could do that.
Can't add mp3's Before this problem there was only one issue. Player didn't continue playing automatically after finishing a call.
I don't give out many 5 stars But this app more than deserves it. I used to use Andless player (not available on Google play) for my FLAC files and I thought it was the only player that let you simply navigate to anywhere to find your files. Well it had some bugs. What would i do? Well, it turns out deadbeef has these features as well and it plays all formats to boot and doesn't have ANY bugs as far as I can see. Six stars for not requiring access to your contacts and call data. Delete your stock player, get deadbeef.
Added the on-screen menu button, for supporting devices which don't have a standard hardware or on-screen menu button
