I'm using this app with a Garmin Glo Bluetooth GPS and my Android phone to record precise survey points for Open Street Map. My workflow is to set the Glo on a bench or other item I'm locating, run the averaging for about a minute or so, then use the "Show on Map" option to open the location in OsmAnd where I then add a GPX waypoint to the track I'm also recording. The are two things I wish this app did, neither major: 1. Allow points to be collected more than once per second (the Glo provides location updates 10x per second). 2. Show a scatter-plot of the points to visualize drift. Thanks for a useful tool!
Lost some functionality ? Maybe I'm confusing with w/another app...don't think so...but I seem to recall this app saving the GPX/KMZ file in a folder which you could import into Locus Pro. No more. Also Locus Pro does not come up as a choice in send or share a averaged point even though it's listed as a co app w/Locus Pro. Once this returns I'd give it five stars probably but in lieu of that as everybody else has mentioned it does fine with what it does.
Very Accurate, extremely valuable app An absolutely necessary tool that most dedicated handheld GPS units really lack until you spend a lot of money. It's very accurate and precise takes a lot of measurements fast down to around 0.0 to 0.1m accuracy so you know exactly where whatever you want to measure is.
Great averaging... Recent update fixed some problems. No complaints about the app now!
No longer has any averaging in free version. Didn't mind the ads, but used it for the occasional averaging for a better position reading. Without that, no point to keeping it any more if all I get is a simplistic lat/long reading with no averaging.
Seems to be quite accurate for horizontal positioning but it's wildly inaccurate for altitude even after averaging several hundred readings
