About this app

You may know LibreOffice from the desktop - the free and open source office suite (successor to OpenOffice) with over 200 million users worldwide. It's secure and respects your privacy, not sharing your documents with anyone else. It's also available for Android in a simplified form, to view documents in these formats:

• Open Document Format (odt, ods, odp, odg)
• Microsoft Office 2007–365 (docx, xlsx and pptx)
• Microsoft Office 97–2003 (doc, xls and ppt)

LibreOffice Viewer also has experimental editing features, which are not yet suited to production use. (Experimental mode can be enabled in the app settings.) The software is open source and made by a worldwide community, so if you'd like to improve the experimental editing support, please join us!

Feedback and bug reports are very welcome, to help developers improve the quality of the application. You can report bugs and attach files here: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org

LibreOffice Viewer is built on the same technology as LibreOffice desktop for Windows, macOS and Linux. LibreOffice Viewer is released under the Mozilla Public License v2. The software is backed by a dynamic community, represented by The Document Foundation, a not for profit entity based in Germany.

LibreOffice was based on OpenOffice.org (commonly known as OpenOffice). Full credits: https://www.libreoffice.org/about-us/credits

Not usable on Android (v8.0 Oreo). I love Libreoffice on my desktop & laptop. But I can't even open a single .odt (LibreOffice Writer file). The app opens then immediately closes/crashes. I've had this app for many years, and updated several times and still this issue persists. I don't see any benefit to this app at all. Devs, please fix this immediately. I don't want to have to convert all of my .odt documents into .docx or .pdf before downloading them to my phone so that I can view/edit them.

Could you please test the newly published version 7.6.3 and report back whether it's working as expected now?

I love Libre office on my desktop and laptop. Unfortunately this app on android has no use for me. Had to uninstall after 3 minutes. At all efforts to access my SD card immediately crashes. Therefore was never able to view a single document with it. I wish the developers well and I'll gladly try again in the future if there is some update made available.

Application is nice good job to dev. Yes it is lacking a lot features but, still it is good enough for instance; light weight, basic editing, can do 3or 4 like ppt word in one app. I think they need to add pdf editing, reading feature. I don't know this app is open source or not but it doesn't track that much data. I know pc version is fully open source and I am using for five years, even though it lag some features both pc and mobile is good, thanks
