I got my Kindle Fire exclusively to read digital books. What I discovered was that you needed multiple programs to read EPUBs or DJVU or PDFs. But not with EBookDroid. All formats I could think of were supported by changing the settings. It is now the ONLY book reader I use. Additionally it has options to limit the size of borders so there is little margins and larger type-font. I highly recommend this reader as the most versatile on the market.
Was great, now broken Prior to marshmallow the was working great, now it won't let me access my external micro sd card, where all my books are located. I assume there is a issue related to the new sd card integration of marshmallow.
The best I tried other well liked apps similar but they don't compare. It supports all the formats you need (you can select what you need and don't), loads your files on it's own so it's easy to access. Can open multiple documents at the same time and switch from one to the other is easy. Can select to show the reading progress. Doesn't drain as much as other apps. They keep improving it and respond quickly too. Love it!
Thank you AK2. We have no words to thank you for the means of reading anytime anywhere. This app has the spirit of Dostoyevsky, Cervantes, Shakespeare. Best electronic document reader; no adds, opens a vast type of formats, friendly interface, customizable, it can be moved to SD card. It's the equivalent to STDU Viewer (Scientific and Technical Documentation Utility Viewer) in WinOS. Internal off-line dictionary with Livio. Interface without web spider is neat and stylish. Finally, as George Clooney says: What else?... only EBookDroid. Please keep this path of excellence.
Almost perfect Selection of words should exclude at first punctuation signs, so that the dictionaries (Goldendict, etc.) can understand them. Then one should be able to include the signs by moving the arrows in the selection, just like in Firefox, Chrome or any other decent app. But 5 stars because it is far better than the rest.
My first choice till now After trying a lot of eBook readers I found this wonderful app that keeps the page that you left last; other eBook readers don't usually keep the last page that you left and you have to always remember to add bookmarks otherwise you have to scroll down again until you find and likely remember where you were. Just go to the FAQ and find some useful options that you most likely need while reading. It would be more wonderful if you fix the dictionary issue, text selection and highlighting, and text reflow .
