About this app

FreeOTP adds a second layer of security for your online accounts. This works by generating one-time passwords on your mobile devices which can be used in conjunction with your normal password to make your login nearly impossible to hack. These passwords can be generated even when your phone is in airplane mode.

FreeOTP works with many of the great online services you already use, including Google, Facebook, Evernote, GitHub and many more! FreeOTP also may work for your private corporate security if they implement the standardized TOTP or HOTP protocols. This includes great enterprise solutions like FreeIPA.

FreeOTP is open source and free software! Licensed under the Apache 2.0 license, you can obtain the source code for FreeOTP at https://fedorahosted.org/freeotp for review or modification. Contributions are welcome!

Loved the app until this update. Problem now is the screenshots show custom icons for each token, but there doesn't seem to be any way to configure them in the actual app. It's way easier to find the right token by the picture than by text, so right now the upgrade is really a downgrade for me, because it was working fine in the previous version...

The new update looks great. No longer looks like something from the 2000s. The migration screen is very glitchy though, I put in a very uncommon password made up of three unique words and it claimed that it was very common and prevented me from accessing my OTPs until I added one singular number. I think it should have better password rating and also allow users to choose "weak" passwords. The confirm password EditText also flashed on and off as I typed my password, which is concerning.

Loved it. Still love it. My only concern is the lack of updates. Don't really care too much about not being able to export, there are a few different ways around that. However, versions of Android are keeping on. And with the most recent update of Android I've (unfortunately) finally started getting notifications this app was built for an older version of Android. Turns out it's a _much_ older version of Android. I can't risk it crapping out due to compatibility issues. Huge bummer.
