Touchpad and Keyboard Work in Linux...that's about it The keyboard support is smooth, but most of my extended keys don't work (alt+tab, home, end, etc.). The touchpad is pretty puny with only 1 mouse button and vertical-only scroll. The support for VLC is pretty poor and doesn't seem to work at all in Linux. I had to install a dev package to even get the server running, which crashes every time I try to play a file on the computer or change the settings. Streaming to my phone (beta) works fine for audio (even plays in background), but the video has issues with some of the blocks having black lines. The web feature (beta) opens up Firefox, which I only have installed because of web-dev work I do. I can only assume this is one of the settings that can be changed (literally, since the settings menu crashes the server). It works for some things, but I get the mobile versions of pages. YouTube sadly does not work well. Somehow the URL in the phone browser isn't getting updated, except once when it failed to go back to the first page, and tapping on the big play icon to start the video does nothing.
Great app I regularly use it to control a laptop that sits across the room from me and uses my TV screen as a display. It essentially acts like a wireless touchpad and/or keyboard, allowing almost full control of the computer from a distance. After a simple initial set up on the host (aka "server") computer, it has thereafter connected quickly on demand. Its design is clean and its functions are intuitive and powerful. It's fantastic.
Awesome!! Was just installing it to check out the remote audio browsing and playing but this little app can do way more then just that! I am now able to play anything on my phone OR pc via this tool aswell as even use my phone to have a touchpad like a laptop has. Basicly you can control ANYTHING with it. Amazing this, it.will be everything i will ever need !
Great remote app Works surprisingly well, but could use a few additions such as a shuffle button for music. It will shuffle if iTunes is set to shuffle, however. Would be nice to toggle it from the phone. Another thing - the interface is a bit outdated and some of the icons are blurry on my GNexus. Perhaps an update to the holo interface is warranted? Otherwise, this is a great app. Keep up the good work!
Just missing gestures :) Awesome app very easy to setup and very powerfull. Missing gestures like zoom or three finger right click. Love the click to drag button. Some vlc error caused a server reinstall but was fixed right away. Minor lag with mouse but that could be my hardware. Maybe bluetooth support could be useful also and more secure.
Simple And Fantastic Took and downloaded this app to take and stream video's to my TV as well as music movies from my computer and stream to the TV set and photos, this was so simple to use that my 7 year old daughter can use it to watch her videos on the big screen. Really great for taking and showing off your photos to friends and family on the big screen when they come over verses from the PC or my phone. If your looking for a SIMPLE and easy to use program for streaming, then this is a MUST DOWNLOAD for you then so take and check it out for yourself you won't be sorry !!!!!!
