I have been using Kmymoney for years now and have been happy with it. However, I like to be able to take road trips and it would be nice if I could have something to use on my tablet rather than taking my laptop with me. I was excited to see this GnuCash app that would share a file on google drive with my laptop. Unfortunately this app doesn't import transactions from my bank. One of the nice things about these personal finance programs is that you don't have to enter transactions by hand. Not being able to import files defeats the purpose of having this on your device. If this would import QIF or OFX files I would switch to GnuCash in a heartbeat. So for me anyway this app only gets 2 stars.
Good start. Need to integrate OneDrive and other cloud platforms so I can export directly instead of having to copy the files from the device to the cloud. There is also a bug that removes all my flags when I export. All of my cleared and reconciled transactions were set back to 'n' when I exported.
I want a way to be able to manage my accounts using my phone and my Ubuntu desktop. Unfortunately, exporting the backup from my phone to Ubuntu means that some accounts that should have a credit balance now have a debit balance. On Ubuntu I set up numerous monthly schedules which are lost when I import the gnucash file into the Android App. It's been a waste of time for me. I am really f###ed off!
Installed a year ago, worked OK w/ files on OneDrive. Did not use it for several months. Today phone reported running out of space. App had created 12GB of backup files. Uninstalled (which recovered the space) & reinstalled, but too slow to be practical on my files.
This app is the best finance app I have used yet. I was nearly broke before using gnucash. After getting it. I have become cash positiv
After latest update backup os automatically without our instruction and more frequently, causing havoc. more functions just like in desktop version may be added. And sync between android and desktop may be considered.
