About this game

Turn-based bullet-hell class warfare!

Swipe to move in each of the four directions. Ram into things to destroy them, but avoid the dangerous projectiles.

Upgrade your ship with multiple levels of each of the FOUR upgrades.
Discover each of the FIVE endings, and unlock new music tracks!
Overcome 11 different enemy types, each with a distinct 'elite' form.
Watch replays of your attempts, and see your long-term statistics.

Earn your freedom!

This is an enhanced version of my game 'Salvage', remade and expanded in Godot. On top of new features (listed above), it is now available as a native application on mobile and PC. This should allow it to keep running smoothly into much longer runs, something the original game definitely had trouble with!

The main problem I've always had with bullet hell games has always been trying to process everything onscreen. Making it turn-based really fixes that problem for me. The UI has a lot of nice little touches that help you tell what is going on. The only thing is there isn't much hint about how to get the endings. It's fine in the beginning but having gotten three endings it's hard to know if it would be worth continuing to play. Overall a cute and fun little game!

Simply put, Salvagette is the best bulletstorm game I have ever played. The soundtrack is sublime and the turn-based gameplay is perfect. It makes the game digestible and more strategic, something I have missed in other similar titles. The visuals may need a little touch-up to improve visibility of enemies still in play when massive numbers of bullets are on-screen, and the UI could be made to be a little friendlier, but all told, Salvagette has been one of best games I've played this year!

Unique games like this are often hard to discover on the Play store, but what a treat this is! I've always avoided bullet-hell games on mobile, as touch screens make them too difficult to play. This gem, however, pauses the action each turn so you can strategically plot your next move. The roguelike-inspired shop adds an extra layer of tactical thinking, making each run feel fresh. Plus it's a complete game with no strings! No ads, IAPs, or even permissions! Amazing! A must download.
