Good clean experience for listening to audio books with little bother. Gives control of downloads. Does not have as many features as the official client, but the features present are easier to use. Needs series support though.

Fantastic app. Android Auto support is a godsend. However, instead of pausing the audio (like the official Audiobookshelf app does), it just lowers the audio volume when navigation instruction plays. This means you miss parts of the audio. If this could be changed, it would be 5 star app.

Android Auto support does exist, but it’s considered unstable functionality. That’s why it’s not available in the Google Play Store version. If you want to use it in your car, you’ll need to switch to the GitHub release.

the interface is quite nice looking. would also be nice if the duration showed in hours:minutes:seconds instead of minutes:seconds some books are not subdivided into chapters, and seeing like 2000 minutes doesn't give me a good feel for the duration.

Updated version (1.6.5) is available and contains the fix! Thanks!
