Okay but none of the characters I could relate to. Three girls and two gay guys crushing on each other. Not that there's anything wrong with any of that but as a straight male at least one character like me would have been nice to get me more invested. The writer left a big portion of their audience out.
Interactive Hunger Games with teams If this is the author's first outing, then I can only hope they come back for more. The dialogue, character progression, action, and choices all feel real and consequential. My only grievance is that the author sometimes has overly long sections about the characters' background (the middle of the first round), which could've been doled out in smaller doses among the action sequences.
Ok Everyone is more or less gay, people can die, the final boss can be flirted with, and the ending is bland. People aren't as traumatised as they should be (given a mass murder that happens barely makes people complain). And the world isn't fleshed out well. But it's really fun.
Short of Greatness There were typos and I couldn't help but think the characters in such a stressful situation wouldn't censor themselves by saying "Fudge" since they're above 18. Too much useless back story too. ***SPOILER ALERT*** When it came to Lucia's decision she would not just let them get rid of her sister so easily! There was for sure not enough dialogue or internal narration to show how she would be okay with it. It was stupid how you could only be two characters in the final round as well.
Great, overall. My only complaint is *SPOILERS* the second half revolved around two characters, which made me go back to play it again just to find out those two characters can't die. Well, without the story progressing.
One big problem Amazing game, excellent writing, relatable characters. There is just one big problem that crashed my soul. Why is Lucia straight? I am shipping her with Zoey so hard and you are telling me they are not a romance option. It hurts man.
