Offer and request free items on your local Freegle UK reuse community.

Use the app to join your local Freegle reuse community for free. Then use it to look at the items offered or requested by others - you can reply to ask for the item or offer something you have spare.

It's easy to offer an unwanted item that you want to get rid of along with a photo. Anyone interested will get back in touch by email - or you can respond in the app. Similarly, you can request something that you want and people will hopefully offer you it.

Everything must be free and legal. Some local communities have extra rules such as no pets.

Be safe and nice when making arrangements to meet - if you can't make it, say so immediately. Never pay courier fees for delivery - it is a scam.

Reusing items saves you money, clears your clutter, helps your neighbours, saves the world's resources and reduces the amount going to waste.

Easy way to declutter, you feel good and someone else gets a benefit too. win win and you avoid landfill as long as possible.

I've found this app is usually updated quite quickly, being developed to provide new & useful things/ideas, to (more or less) mirror Freegle's main website. Significant to me is the Android app often works a bit quicker for me than the main website on my W10 laptop, maybe, at least in part, because my laptop's getting quite old! I much appreciate Freegle itself, but this a rating about the Freegle app (not Freegle as an organisation) so I think it's unfair of other users to berate it here.

Invaluable resource; I use Freegle regularly to offer things I no longer want or need, find items I'm looking for, and sometimes I've been able to match up when people have posted a 'wanted' request. I love that being able to recycle possessions within the community stops wastage and saves us all money.
