Use the app to join your local Freegle reuse community for free. Then use it to look at the items offered or requested by others - you can reply to ask for the item or offer something you have spare.

It's easy to offer an unwanted item that you want to get rid of along with a photo. Anyone interested will get back in touch by email - or you can respond in the app. Similarly, you can request something that you want and people will hopefully offer you it.

Everything must be free and legal. Some local communities have extra rules such as no pets.

Be safe and nice when making arrangements to meet - if you can't make it, say so immediately. Never pay courier fees for delivery - it is a scam.

Reusing items saves you money, clears your clutter, helps your neighbours, saves the world's resources and reduces the amount going to waste.

I use this app quite frequently & find it easy to use. I've had problems in the past uploading photos but that seems to be resolved now, fingers crossed. It's very simple to offer items to other freeglers, easy to search for items available locally & straightforward to contact other freeglers & make arrangements for collection. I notice in the latest update that a map showing an approximate area for an address has appeared, this is brilliant for others finding us as we are off the beaten track

I've been using Freegle for many years and have successfully rehomed many items. I love the concept, but sometimes I find the app difficult to use. It doesn't seem to have been updated since I began using it.

it's mostly really good. the photos are slow to upload and only accepts small files sometimes, other times it refuses to upload 1.6mb. But it always works if you use it's function to take photos instead of browsing your own gallery. Once the photos are done the rest is quick and easy. only allowed 3 photos though. I've had lots of success giving away things I don't use anymore. Thumbs up for Freegle 👍🏻💜
