Very handy A simple yet remarkably useful app. Now I'll be able to complain intelligently about poorly-made apps that crash all the time without needing to hook up to a computer to figure out the causes of the crashes. Plus, I didn't even know about the existence of the Events and Radio logcat buffers until now.
Excellent for development I love the filter and colouring. Super easy to track you own apps if the tags are consistent.
Does not work in 4.1 I realize that it is a system limitation which prevents this app from working, but they should probably mention that in the description.
Very pretty... But whatever information is it giving? Nothing that I can see of any importance. When an app crashes and I elect to send google insecurity creators a note about it, then I'm able to preview the important log file (otherwise is a stupid waste of time to send info... Cause they do nothing with it. I had Bluetooth hacking ALL my files, written on log as "headset connected", they did nothing and their stupid "don't tell" policy, what's up with that.? Speak up insecurities. Speak up. You can easily be replaced.
Doesn't work Gives me absolutely zero log info. Says loading logs then nothing happens. ~Rooted T-Mobile Nexus 6 v5.1.1 stock
know what my phone is loaded Repeat what you did before, to make the popup error message show up. Run the aLogcat app again, and check out the most recent logs. It'll probably be in red, and it should identify which app showed the message. Hope that helps. Update: Your comment said that it didn't help. I don't know any specific tools to monitor what app is downloading. I have used SystemPanel before to monitor the overall phone system. It will shows you upload/download network traffic for the whole phone, and it can also show you what apps are active. Turn on monitoring in the app, go through the process again to get the error message, then check out which processes show as active during that period. You might be able to find the culprit that way.
