Review from earl steinkampf
Doesn't work I downloaded the alogcat filtered for msl..left it open then dialed ##4282#. It told me the request couldn't be processed......blah blah
Very handy A simple yet remarkably useful app. Now I'll be able to complain intelligently about poorly-made apps that crash all the time without needing to hook up to a computer to figure out the causes of the crashes. Plus, I didn't even know about the existence of the Events and Radio logcat buffers until now.
If it works... This can be an awesome tool, but only when it works. Most of the time, it simply does nothing, or at least nothing in the 10 minute patience limit I have. The few times it's worked though, I loved it, so it remains on my list.
Hard work pays off!! Keep up the hard work. Thanx I really wanna see something please. Just blank I've been waiting a long time. I'd like a reply if you have time. Lisa Marie
know what my phone is loaded Repeat what you did before, to make the popup error message show up. Run the aLogcat app again, and check out the most recent logs. It'll probably be in red, and it should identify which app showed the message. Hope that helps. Update: Your comment said that it didn't help. I don't know any specific tools to monitor what app is downloading. I have used SystemPanel before to monitor the overall phone system. It will shows you upload/download network traffic for the whole phone, and it can also show you what apps are active. Turn on monitoring in the app, go through the process again to get the error message, then check out which processes show as active during that period. You might be able to find the culprit that way.
aLogcat Extremely interesting tool since Logcat does pop up in searching the OS for a built-in bug, 4.4.2 v19 with missing attributes. This may work if my glaucoma holds out!
Jelly bean I saw the comment that said this will stop working on jb, since most people using it are probably rooted anyway, you can use titanium backup to convert to system app and it works great again.
- support for Android 3 / 4, Google TV
