Review from A Google User
AquaMail was the first truly reliable, full-featured email app on Android, and it still just works, quickly and near-flawlessly. Outstanding email app. Just spring a couple bucks for the pro license and you won't have to deal with ads. This developer deserves the support.
I have used all sorts of clients for mail. This one works well. The pro version is reasonably priced for the features. I use it with imap and exchange profiles with little issues. There are a lot of setting options. Maybe too many as its sometimes hard to find what is a basic option. Suggest you could add a basic and advanced toggle that enables these on view like most browsers do. Recommended.
I bought the pro key, hoping it can update all my 36000 contacts from MS Exchange. It didn't work. It stuck at about 14000. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't fix it (updating contacts stuck again at 2400... for days). I returned to Samsung Focus, which is free and updated all 36k contacts smoothly, in few hours... Anyway, if you need it only for email and you don't have a huge contact list, the degree of customization is awesome.
A excellent email app and my number one go-to. But the original developer (Kostya Vasilyev) sold Aquamail (due to health reasons) to MobiSystems who promptly started data mining it's paid customers without informing them! After numerous complaints MobiSystems finally provided an opt-out in systems settings. On the flip side they have excellent support and well thought-out options. If you like to heavily tweet your apps this one's for you. The new logo sucks. S7/7.0
Exchange contacts do not show up in phone address book even though contact sync is enabled. Update : Emailed their support and I'm waiting for a reply since a week. Terrible customer support for a paid app.
Man. I have about 6 emails using this application, very little battery life, 3 personal emails, 1 public and 2 business emails. All updated and works with hotmail, gmail, icloud (apple) and a custom email for my website. Just wonderful and easy to understand and customize. Thanks for your hard work!
Has generally been a very good program. However latest version is cutting off forwarded messages at around 5 or 6 lines of text. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but it is still happening. This has not been default behaviour in the past so it looks like a bug. Edit> Two stars until it is working again. Unless this is fixed soon I will stop using Aquamail. While waiting for a fix I have reverted to using the Sony Experia standard email app and so far it is a "four star" app and doing everything I need.
