Amazing! :) I love how it keeps tracks of my walks in general. Many people complain about this being GPS based, but I don't mind. Just get a walking device to count your steps. Highly recommend to anyone on keeping track with exercise.
Inaccurate time & exists in a vacuum I use a wearable tracker, and sometimes use this app if I forget to wear it. Everybody Walk doesn't track time accurately. It seems to pause the clock when my phone goes to sleep. As far as being in a "vacuum," I also track my habits with several different apps, due to advantages and disadvantages among them all. Most apps integrate with one another, but KP's Everybody Walk does not integrate with anything else. Improvements based on these two suggestions would increase my rating to 4 or 5 stars.
This is gps based, not a step counter Based on the blurb in Kaiser's newsletter, I thought this would be a step counting pedometer (using the phone's accelerometer), but it's not. It's GPS based. My Samsung GS2's GPS doesn't work very well, especially indoors, and also leaving it on kills the battery so can't use this app.
Started out fine. Doesn't always work though. Glad I know my route and how many miles it is. Some days this app shows 0.8, 1.3, 2.0 and 2.13 miles all for the same path.
I want to love it, but I don't I'm going to uninstall and reload in case there have been updates I haven't gotten. A friend and I walk together and each of us uses this app. We never come out with the same distance walked. I just don't get it! Also, it turns off periodically for no apparent reason. I'm hoping the download will give me a new version where these bugs have been fixed.
Love it when I Lock it - The little button in the middle .. move it up (turns red) to Lock screen .. otherwise your walk could crash from phone movement.
