Permissions & Technical Details
Accessibility Services — LeadMeNot uses Accessibility Services to monitor app and in-app activity on your device. This allows us to block activity when the app blocker is activated and/or share activity details with your chosen accountability partners when a boundary is crossed. You can exclude specific apps and websites from monitoring at any time.
LeadMeNot uses a foreground service to continuously enforce app blocking rules and monitor screen time limits set by the user. The service runs persistently and displays an ongoing system notification to inform the user that blocking is actively in place. This foreground execution is required because Android's background process restrictions would otherwise suspend the monitoring engine when the app is not in the foreground, rendering the blocking and screen time features completely non-functional.
