Solid information, especially about construction of electrical generators. Some of the appendices and figures are incomplete as of jan2018, I hope they are updated. Over all a good resource, not a be all end all. Some products recommended are sub optimal like cotton jeans and life straws. The Sawyer series of filters are generally better and charcoal filters are not difficult to make. Most hiking or backpacking pants use synthetic or wool blends to keep you warm and dry out faster, cotton is rotton.
It's a well thought out app, the reason I gave it 5 star was because it was enjoyable to read. It's still better to have a book with you rather than an app on your phone when out there in the vast jungle we cause the world. It clearly has helped many people out, and therefore does a services to those who have read it. But end of world survival when phone towers go offline I still would rely on a hard copy. Oh Andrew Campbell your comment about 5 stars rating being bots, I am not a bot. But try and be respectful in future to these developers at least this one has tried.
Just an add on... how about basic animal traps? Small crawlers, 4 legged, birds, fish traps. Also knots to use cause im sure not everyone is from scouts class or a truck driver. I like how all the water ones and shelters were in this app that i learnt at the Army Cadets :) I went through the Shelters, water, fire and food files... thoroughly impressed 👌
Recommended download, does exactly what title suggests and contains very insightful material. Developers I would like you to consider The worst case scenario handbooks when you're thinking of what other areas you could cover. Continue this as an ad free offline resource for survival in any situation, even if kidnapped for example. Instead of a fixed price, have a donate option and you're going to be happy.
Amazing app. Honestly the single best thing I've ever downloaded. From the app store or otherwise. If you are a camper, Hunter, or outdoorsman this is a must read. A huge variety of useful skills from basic medicine making, general first aid, edible plants. The list goes on. This is a free app too so you have no excuse. I would have gladly paid for it. The only drawback is I wish I had a hard copy of it!
This app is amazing- though can you add a chapter about what to do when you don't have any survival supplies? I mean, it's more likely to having to survive unprepared then prepared. Also pictures with the poisonous and edible plants would be very helpful as well. But around that, this app is such a help. It's organised and very, and the chapters are split very well. It's very descriptive- it has everything! It even is modernised, it's not the old survival guide. The developers did an amazing job, apps like this are not to be seen as much. Even though you think you don't need this app, I highly recommend it.
