Linphone is an open source app offering free audio/video calls and text messaging. With Linphone, you can be reachable at any time, even if the app is closed, with a WiFi or 3G/4G internet connection.

Ratings and reviews

I like the app overall. The only one issue that keeps bothering me and it is becoming really bothersome is that it crashes, it goes from Connected to Connection in progress or Not Connected when both WiFi and data are available and working fine. And when that happens I check if other apps are working OK on my phone and yes, everything else works while this app crashes. And it drives me crazy, because I have to quickly switch from wifi to 4G in order Not to miss the call and even then, it crashes

Had to change servers, this forces a password change (all my voip's server have the same password...) Updating the password just DOES NOT WORK. Recreated the acct. Now incoming works (had to turn off push so calls did not hangup after 30s). But outgoing calls fail with service unavailable. When it works its great, getting to work is a royal PITA.

Great app but the button presses during calls that are required to choose menu options no longer work. This means 90% + of calls no longer work so the Android app is currently useless.
