Magpie Alias is a game played in teams of at least two players each. The game is played in rounds: each round one of the players tries to explain to the rest of their team the words the game gives them. The explaining player must not use the words themselves or their derivatives (if this rule is broken the word in question is crossed out and discarded for the round). A team earns one point for every word they guess correctly. Normally teams take turns guessing and each round they rotate the players who explain the words to them. The team that earns the most points after several sets of rounds wins.
How long a round lasts and how many words are presented each round can be adjusted on the settings screen.
