Good browser, but still behind Biggest gripe is that it ignores android's native app opening feature, so YouTube videos use only the mobile browser and reddit links only open to the mobile site. There's a Droid you can tap that opens some native apps to rectify this issue, but it should be an automatic thing like it is in other browsers. The lack of home and forward/back buttons makes browsing a bit tedious. Pros: Scrolling is smooth and page loading is decently speedy. Love the extension support as well. The background tabbing is great
Firefox Forever !! It all started with Netscape more than 20 years ago and eventually morphed into Firefox. It gave us the best browsing experience then and still does today. No other Web browser offers the full spectrum of speed, security, efficiency, and robust set of usable features. But, Firefox continues to lose market share because it doesn't have the distribution channels the Google and Microsoft browsers have. I just hope Firefox can survive.
Not Compatible with Selenium For Testing Firefox used to be the one of the best supported browser for selenium testing in previous days but Unfortunately Selenium WebDriver is not compatible with the new Firefox 49.0. The WebDriver component which handles Firefox browsers will be discontinued. It's very difficult for web testers to switch to any other browser to perform testing activities. Bcz of the default support of Firefox browser. I hope Firefox team will think on this direction also to make this browser again testing friendly and Compatible.
Edit: still relevant to the current version. Now when it crashes, it takes all your open tabs as well and forgets about them. Don't bother, just use chrome and try to ignore the ads. Pro: opening tabs in the background from other apps. Con: it's the most unstable app I've ever used. Even on a basic website with just text and pictures it will still crash. Don't dare use it for an online transaction!
Feature-rich, crash-prone I love Reading Mode and add-ons (Adblock). Unfortunately, 2-3 times a day, after entering a new URL, the loading progress bar fails to display. Instead, the browser hangs and loads nothing. Forcibly closing and restarting the browser does not help. After a few seconds I get the "Firefox has stopped responding" prompt. This derails trains of thought and is so annoying that I switched back to Chrome.
* Remember scroll position and zoom level for open tabs
* Updated First Run to showcase several exciting features
* Outdated tabs are now hidden when restore tabs setting is set to "Always restore"
