Firefox 55 or 56 was the best - lightest and fastest version I have ever used. Ive been using Firefox on Android for 4+ years now; since it became available. 57 Quantum is meh. [March 19, 2018] Firefox 59 is more Ram hungry than 58. How do I know? Well it now force closes more often and I get returned to Homescreen. This is 1 gb Ram phone.
I find this app much improved ,and a lot better to use. Love the windows version and have used it a lot of years. However always found the android version hard going till now that is. Once you have set it up correctly, added home page, altered privacy settings etc ,it's actually a very fast ,good browser. I would defenatly give it a 5* If a home & bookmark button was added.
I ensure this is fast & private, but because of latest updates, this browser won't load to other sites as well, linking freezes, loading won't respond. I guess this browser is not compatible for my device, sorry. The old Firefox is better! You never placed any superior designs in the old days, you let my phone's performance function with less effort.
Had to delete my Firefox account and make a new one on the same address for it to start syncing on my phone. That is just bad, no other word for it. Will try to migrate over on my phone, Mac and desktop. Would love if it didn't stutter while scrolling on the newest android device too...
I'm a fan of Firefox and I've been using the PC version for my whole life. Wanted to switch from Chrome to Firefox on mobile too but the app barely works for me. It doesn't react when I go to a specific website, I always have to type it in several times and even then it rarely works; when it finally works, the loading time is ridiculously long compared to other browsers; the mobile view could also be improved. Waste of time and space for now.
It's Fox. I sure wish that I could USE it! The scrolling delay/lag while flicking through pages is killing me! I simply can't handle it. Why the lag? Not seeing it with ANY other browser.
