Using this app you can report common street problems, like potholes or broken street lights, to councils throughout the UK.
It works online and offline, because we know that there isn't always a signal when you need one.

This was useful but no longer allows posts because despite filling out name and title it tells you that Title information is required. So now useless! Using Samsung S7 edge with Android 7.

Used website never knew there was app I used the website few months back when the council took away all the recycling skips in the car park for the 2 high rise flats. I complained every week direct and no help. I put it on here and suddenly the council decided to put 4 blue and 4 black wheelie bins back... Not that that's enough over 450 people but it's something and people are recycling again

Reported dumped mattress in the street. Council came round within 2 hours and picked it up. Impressed.

Great app I use it to report problems with road signs, graffiti, flytipping and streetlights

Great way to end up in the middle of an argument between a council and a contractor eager to make as many charges for no fault found as possible.

Alan Beames Cllr Great App? Very fast and simple to use to report issues in your street to local councils. I recommend everyone down load and use it
Generally good - does what it says on the tin - but a few niggles: it forgets my password so I keep having to re-enter it every time and select for an anonymous submission, and when you try to update an entry, it takes you out of the app and into the website.
This app is rubbish I couldn't even log into it I saw an issue that I wanted to report but had a message about overlay on my phone it's a good idea but I think it needs more work
Easy to use, but please add an option to hide fixed reports or at least show them in a different colour.
Seems to work fine and action being taken on things I've reported. ☺
New update has rendered the app useless. Doesn't work anymore. Can't find location and can't log in...... Update - now seems to be working. Thanks guys.

Thanks for letting us know and sorry for the inconvenience; we released a new version yesterday with a bug, but have now released an updated version which should hopefully fix these problems. Works Seems to work as it should. Would be good if we could add more than 1 image to each complaint. Unless I'm mistaken and you already can.
Phew, working again! Very quick update fixing the location issued. Maybe other developers should take note as the bug was fixed around 24 hours after being discovered

Thanks for letting us know and sorry for the inconvenience; we released a new version yesterday with a bug, but have now released an updated version which should hopefully fix these problems. The councils hate this app. So far 3 different Borough councils I have had problems with. One of which will ignore any reports coming in via email from this app as they can't keep up with the work load. One will simply reply saying you need to Contact the relevant department (other words they are exhausted of forwarding the report themselves) and one other not to name bounces emails back and asks for it to be reported on their own site. All in all. This app is a brilliant idea. But depending on which Borough /council the reports will go to depends how they will treat it, credit to a couple of councils whom actually got repairs done within 48 hours!
Latest update now working again. New version is now working. From recent reviews, 29/30th April, see a few people reported bugs which were fixed the same day. Well done to the developer.
Great idea but poorly designed and very buggy. New version hangs indefinitely after taking a new photo.
Gets results App keeps telling me to use the App next time even though I am using the App at the time. Bit annoying.
Council forced me to re submit my report Pointless if the council then emails me to make me redo my report via their own website. So I had to submit 2 reports via 2 platforms.
Can't use the app. Asks me to enter a subject when I already have. Asks me to confirm my password but no facility for doing that.
A very useful app A very useful app. The abilities to link photos of the issue, geo-locate it, as well as point to it on a map are all strong features.

Thanks for letting us know and sorry for the inconvenience; we released a new version yesterday with a bug, but have now released an updated version which should hopefully fix these problems. Works very well With the withdrawal of my local councils reporting option, I have returned to fixmystreet. I know this works
No way to register Needs a way to register in the App to be useful. No details of where to register either.

Thanks for letting us know and sorry for the inconvenience; we released a new version yesterday with a bug, but have now released an updated version which should hopefully fix these problems. Back button doesnt work This is a fab app. I've reported the same highways issue multiple times directly to the local council but it still isn't fixed. Fingers crossed for reporting it through the app which was easy to use. BUT the back button on my phone doesnt do anything so there is no way to go back a page or close the app without minimising. And there is no option to view the map/issues without starting to log a new one.
The app itself needs a little fixing. When you click on the details of a report, how do you get back to the main screen? I've mashed the back button and everything else. I have to fully quit the app to go back. Not good when you're making sure that you're not double reporting a problem.
Brilliant idea, poorly implemented The idea is great and the website works great. However, the app will not display a map of my area (Northern Ireland). I believe using Open Street Map would be of huge benefit to both projects. If your app could be used to submit OSM map notes it could be adopted as a useful tool with OSM mapper's who are very good at capturing real time data.
Easy to report problems to councils FixMyStreet is easy to use. It asks you where the problem is, to select a type of problem, then to describe it, offering the choice of submitting a photo too. Based on the type and location, it works out which is the right council to send it to. I use it mostly to report graffiti, flyposting, flytipping, and missed bin collections in my local area - I use FillThatHole to report potholes and road defects.
Incredibly helpful It used to be very frustrating when finding a problem with the road surface somewhere along my commute, but having no idea who to report it to. This brilliant little app removes that problem, as it seems your report to the correct local council for you. I've reported two potholes so far, and had responses within a day on both occasions. Very helpful.
Glorified web browser The Fixmysteet is a great scheme in general so can't fault that. However, the app has no functioning back button; map navigation buttons do not work; pin placement is difficult (doesn't even show the pin when tapping).
Great idea, needs a lot of improvements. The idea and basics behind this app is great however things are broken, very broken. It's easy to report problems but difficult to navigate through the app looking at other reported problems.
Very poor navigation. The only way to get to the main menu is to find a recent problem on the map, press it, only then you get the options to see the main menu. Who wrote the software for this app, they want shooting... I know this is a charity, but come on. The PC version is great, that's what makes this worse.
Easy to report faults, pants trying to view others If you want to report a fault quickly, great. Log in, locate yourself, report. Job done. However, try to view other faults locally and it all falls apart. On opening the app you can view the map, select a fault and view it. There it ends. You can't go back to the map and select another. The map view doesn't appear in the menu. The back button doesn't work. Oh, and you can't exit - you have to minims then kill in your app manager. Shame. So much potential.
Used to work better Now you have to take photos beforehand as the attach image stage crashes when taking photo - Moto E LTE. Please fix! Works on Nexus 7 but then I have to hotspot to use it...
Great idea but... Works great for reporting problems but the app itself has problems. The back button doesn't work, there's no menu, no way to exit, and it often doesn't download map tiles. If the UK was sorted it would be so much better
Great idea but needs improving. Would give tbis 2.5 stars. Map doesn't always load, or freezes, even through WiFi, so frustrating, especially when out & about & just want to report something quickly: thought that was the point the of it! Quicker to phone my local council! As others have said you can't go back e.g. to view other reports. Also, I've received confirmation emails from local council but the subject isn't what I've reported, e.g. I reported litter bins overflowing or flytipping & confirmation email says noise nuisance.
Would be a great app if council took any notice of the complaints! Have rubbish been left for months now rat food, have mould on ceiling inside block of flats which a council ' worker ' wiped with a cloth a year or so ago saying that's fixed it! Need roof looking at to find where damp coming from because starting to intrude inside flat now aswell!!! IF YOU GET COUNCILS TO LISTEN & DO WORK WOULD BE GREAT THEN WOULDN'T FEEL LIKE LIVING IN A SLUM AREA! NORTHAMPTON BOROUGH COUNCIL SHAME ON YOU, DON'T LIE JUST DO JOBS!!!
Confusing navigation The app works and could be so much better. The navigation is confusing and the app will not exit and has to be manually killed. Good effort nevertheless.
