The think10 safety planning tool was designed by NDI’s Gender, Women and Democracy team. The tool provides women in politics guidance on ways to enhance their personal security -- using combined scores from a self-assessment questionnaire and their country’s risk calculation taken from NDI’s Women’s Political Participation Risk Index (WPPRI). The WPPRI assesses the risk of being a politically active woman in 165 countries. By using the tool, women in politics are able to develop a safety plan relevant to their personal and professional profile, and in their political context. The tool is available in three versions - paper, online, and mobile app; and in four languages - English, Spanish, French and Arabic.
