About this app

As an NYU Langone Health patient, you can use our app to manage your health information and care on a mobile device.

When you log in to the app with your NYU Langone Heath MyChart account, you'll have convenient access to features including:

• Health summary: See your current health concerns, medications, immunizations, allergies, and more.

• Appointments: Find the right doctor for your needs; schedule or cancel upcoming visits; and see information about previous appointments.

• Test results: View lab test results and information about what they mean.

• Messages: Communicate conveniently with your care team.

• Health advisories: Be notified when it’s time for your annual physical, flu shot, and other preventive care needs.

• Proxy access: View health information for designated family members, including children.

• Remote monitoring: Connect the app with Apple Health or Health Connect (by Google) to monitor and share key health information with your care team, including but not limited to blood glucose, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, steps, temperature, and weight.

(Disclaimer: Remote patient monitoring through the NYU Langone Health app requires prior enrollment of the patient by a healthcare provider. The app currently does not support individual usage without clinician consent and support. Patients must always consult with their healthcare provider before making any changes to a care plan.)

Ratings and reviews

I prefer the regular Mychart over this one because I can use my biometrics fingerprint to login, but this asks for my username, password, or login key every single time, so I just stopped using it. They should make it sync with the regular mychart and allow easier logins. I'm probably going to delete this very soon. It's just taking up space and I never use it.

Extremely difficult to use. Every time you access the app, you have to get a text or email and copy paste a code into the app. I check the Trust This Device checkbox, and still it requires this verification. I stepped away from the app for a few minutes and I had to go through the whole verification cycle AGAIN. I have 2 factor authentication on many apps, and none of them are as much of a hassle as this one. Honestly, you're better off using your laptop to access their site than this app.

Usually, I find this app easy to use, recently however, (this past month) the app is laggy, doesn't open properly (i. e. doesn't recognize me), now it won't open the "prepare for your visit" script, nor the medication pages to request refills, nor the help menus. For an app that handles something as important as interfacing with my Healthcare IT NEEDS TO DO BETTER! Looking at the playstore reviews, it seems I am not the only one. NB: When an app won't let you access the help desk, it isn't good!
