Very disappointed. Sometimes, while in a remote area and no internet, for some obscure reason, the app needs to install some kind of data, which it strangely didn't need to when I left home. Which means that I have no access to any peak while in the mountains, when that happens. Then, even after calibration, the peaks are way off, like it shows me the peaks to the south when I point to the west. I calibrate again. Same result. It's a chance I only lost $6.

Very nice app. But I am not able to exactly match peaks as picture also gets enlarged when profile line is enlarged

This is a hardware issue. Note: Certain mobile phone covers with magnetic locks also affect the sensors. If you use such a cover try it once without it. The compass calibration normally leads to betters results. Additionally you can just drag the panorama drawing to the correct position.

What's new

••• New data model •••
PeakFinder has been upgraded with a new data model. The mountains are displayed even faster and more precisely. In addition, less data is required.

Important: When updating to the new data model, PeakFinder loads the data within a radius of 150km/100mil around your current location. If your next trip is further away, you can simply load additional areas via the 'Offline mode' menu.
