Supports a basically unlimited amount of medication with freely adjustable intervals between doses. All the most common dosage units are supported.
Dosecast is both flexible and easy-to-use, with all these features included in the free edition:
★ RELIABLE NOTIFICATIONS: Dosecast reliably sends dose reminders with or without an internet connection. Dosecast also tracks the time zone you're in when travelling and adjusts reminders accordingly, so you get notified correctly no matter where you are. If you miss the first reminder, Dosecast can nag you every few minutes until you respond.
★ FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING: Some apps can only remind you to take your medication at the same time every day. Only Dosecast helps you take doses on a daily/weekly/monthly schedule, every X days/weeks, only on certain days of the week, or even after a pre-set number of hours or days since the last dose. Avoid dangerous overdoses by setting a maximum number of doses allowed per day or per 24 hours.
★ CUSTOMIZABLE DOSE AMOUNTS AND INSTRUCTIONS: With Dosecast, set the drug name, dosage information, directions, and notes that appear in the reminders for each dose.
★ POSTPONE-ABLE REMINDERS: You can postpone a reminder before or after it goes off - by however long you need.
★ SMART SILENCING: Dosecast tracks when you're sleeping and when your treatment begins and ends, so there are no unwanted alarms.
★ PRIVATE AND SECURE: No personally identifiable information is collected when using Dosecast, so you can keep your information private. All drug information is encrypted, even when in transit, so using Dosecast is safe even from a public access point.

*SafeDose no longer provides all of eBroselow's medication content for free (a lot is still free but, sadly, the company couldn't provide it all free forever). We rely on subscriptions to our Artemis web-based reference tool to support ourselves. If your hospital subscribes to Artemis, enter your hospital's Artemis ID on the app's registration screen. If you don't subscribe to Artemis, you can learn more and contact us from the eBroselow web site.*
In an emergency setting, proper drug mixing and dilution, proper drug administration and proper dose in mL to a patient is critically time-sensitive. SafeDose provides the correct clinical information for hundreds of acute care and other drugs in seconds.
First responders and EMS staff can use SafeDose to log patient status, drug administrations and caregiver actions. The SafeDose “photo feature” can record time-stamped pictures of the patient, instrument settings and accident scene.
SafeDose gives Nurses the exact dose in mL to avoid the ten-fold dosing errors that can lead to "death by decimal point."
Doctors can use SafeDose to order medications and send administration instructions to nurses and pharmacists. SafeDose creates a tidy PDF document that can be emailed as an order or prescription.
Pharmacists get precise mixing instructions and can receive emailed PDF orders from doctors. This is a much safer and more efficient process than handwriting and paper.
An amazing new “NDC number and barcode scanning feature” allows nurses and pharmacists to quickly enter the NDC number for any drug with an FDA NDC number on it (all drugs in the US). Entering this number, taking a picture of the barcode with the mobile device’s camera, or scanning the barcode label with a Bluetooth scanner immediately brings up the dose in mL.
iMedicalApps said SafeDose is "useful and well designed... Undoubtedly, the potential for medication errors would be reduced if practitioners were to rely on the information provided by this app".
All SafeDose medical content is peer-reviewed for accuracy through the Artemis Initiative. A joint effort of eBroselow and the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group (PPAG), the Artemis Initiative is an international standard for pediatric doses. PPAG consists of over 800 pediatric pharmacists from throughout the world.

I developed this app following a recent illness of congestive heart failure. At first the amount of new information to be managed was overwhelming and I needed help. This new reality I found myself dealing with inspired this app and several others to help manage weight, blood sugar levels and blood pressure monitoring.
"To get maximum benefit from your medications, it is important to take them exactly as prescribed by your doctor. In fact, your chance of a better health outcome improves when you take your medications as directed. But four out of 10 older people who take more than one drug still do not take one or more of their prescriptions according to their doctor's instructions. If any of these [statements] apply to you, you may not be getting the full benefit of your medications. …
I sometimes forget to take my medication.
I sometimes take my medication at the wrong times.
I take many different medications and sometimes it's hard to keep them straight.”
This brief statement of the importance of taking medications correctly appears on the home page of the Pfizer pharmaceutical company that was founded in 1849.
This application will allow you to record all of your medications, dosages, and the times to be taken. You will have this record with you to consult with your health care providers and pharmacist as needed. You can choose from a variety of reminders to help you manage your time schedules, to include task bar reminders with or without sound or vibrations, an alert dialog box displaying the medications that should be taken, and using text messages to either the phone running the application or to a second phone.
The Main display provides a complete schedule of daily medications, including the time and a description of the medication or dosage, number of pills, etc. This can be as brief or as detailed as the user desires. Reminders, as selected on the reminder screen, will contain this information and occur at the time selected for the medication.
The Add Medications tab enables you to add new medications to your schedule. Before a medication can be saved, both a time and description must be provided. A reminder is displayed if an attempt to save is made without this information. Before medications are entered, a sample medication schedule is displayed with a note to enter your medications.
The Edit tab navigates the app to a display allowing all recorded entries to be updated or deleted. All editing is accomplished using a standard dialog box and text field.
The Reminders tab allows the setting of notification bar reminders, to include alarm sounds and vibrations, the display of medications that are scheduled to be taken now, and the ability to send this display of medications by text message to both this phone, the device running the application, and to a second phone. The user can either enter the number directly into the text box provided or select the browse button to access the contacts stored on the phone. A momentary message will be displayed if the contact selected does not have a phone number. The notification icon displays the number of medications scheduled to be taken. Reminders that are started persist through power off and restarting of the phone.
The Color tab allows a choice from twenty-six different color schemes. The selection is made by a simple tap of a radio button on the row of colors desired. This will change the background, borders, and text colors on all screens of the application, with the exception of buttons and input text boxes.
This application does not include any internal advertising.
Before buy, you can download the Trial Version.

High Definition Anterior & Posterior maps can be zoomed in/out and provide the essential dermatome landmarks.
Dermatomes App is an essential reference for neurologists, emergency physicians, family doctors, anesthesiologist, medical students, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, and many other medical professionals.
A dermatome is an area of skin that is mainly supplied by a single spinal nerve. There are eight cervical nerves, twelve thoracic nerves, five lumbar nerves and five sacral nerves. Each of these nerves relays sensation (including pain) from a particular region of skin to the brain.
NOTE: *** Dermatomes are variable between individuals and the patter of sensory loss is usually less than the entire dermatome because of overlap. The map and landmarks presented in the Dermatomes App represent a consensus view drawn from numerous sources. ***
