The accessibility is unlike anything I've seen, but I do have suspicions regarding accuracy. There is no morphological comparison for species identification, simply pictures. It points one in the right direction, but the identity of a plant should be verified. Overall, very convenient.
Pretty accurate so far. A little annoying that it requires internet/cell service if you're out in the wilderness someplace, but such is the nature of things...
It was absolutely fantastic for about 1 hour and then I got loads of errors. Whenever it tries to search for the plant it returns "error" and errors with data too. But all appears okay my end with my network and phone.
I really appreciate that this app gives you options to look at different plants to compare with to decide which is the one at which you are looking. So far, there have only been a couple for which I haven't found a match. But with more people contributing and verifying, I am hopeful.
This app had helped me identify so many plants in my yard.....i have moved all over the country and sometimes keeping everything straight is difficult. I love my yard and have truly found this app helpful!
Pretty much nailed what i thru at it. The app allows you to take a picture of any plant and it will spit back what it thinks it is. Pretty Epic. I have personally found PlantSnap to be a little more accurate, however this app is free and actually has several more helpful features than plantsnap. It breaks the different parts of the plant down, and also gives a much better description of the plants. It even seems to let you know if it is edible which is awesome. In my opinion give this a try. If you like it get plantsnap too. Most good field guides will tell you it is always a good idea to cross reference as many guides as you can when identifying plants... especially if you plan on eating it. Having this app and plantsnap is pretty handy. :) Only thing that might be nice is if it gave several of the plant's common names to help identify it. I thought it had gotten a picture of common yarrow wrong because it was calling it bloodwort. Then i learned that bloodwort is just another name for it. Also, for people having trouble. Most of these apps seem to all require you to take a picture in good lighting (sunlight preferable). Try to keep shadows out. 5 stars from me!
New project management.
