Nicely done! Just needs independent bell volume. Small, stable, and advertisement free, this is a great application! The only feature lacking is independent volume / level control for the bells. With my ringer turned all the way up, some folks grow tired of the bells very quickly. I haven't looked for the files yet, but if I can find the file, I may try to cut the amplitude.
Worked well top begin with, but now it rings late! It rings up to 5 mins past the hour and half hour, sometimes 1 min, sometimes 4 mins 30 secs late. Also I get reports it's stopped working yet it still rings, albeit LATE! No page to report issues to the developer :-(
Ships Bells While being a retired US Navy Submarine Sailor I enjoyed the Nagolstic part of the Ships Bells. The problem I have is the app keeps stopping. The Bells are random in the times they activate. Somtimes it is right on time and then it can be as much as 8 minutes off. If you like Ships Bells.....cool. If you are tring to tell accurate time with Ships Bells. Not working.
Plays good quality bell sound on the half hour and/or hour with configurable "quiet hours" to squelch the bells. With an in-app volume control this app would get 5 stars. Bells are very very loud on my phone, so I must turn it down so I can barely hear other notifications.
Functional but unappealing Without having used it for very long I dislike the tone of the chimes. Please have more options, including using a recorded bell.
This is the best ships bell app Without question this is the best ships bell clock I have used thus far. Simple! Loud strike, soft strike, the choice is yours. Bells sound better than any of the others. I can't believe this is a free app. I just wasted $3 dollar's on other wanna be ships bells. I thought I had lost this app when my other phone died but a friend who knew what to do found it. I'm so happy to have this app back. Thank you to the crew that put this together, If it stops working, turn your phone off for a moment,
* Fixed the bug that made it ring on the half hour even when "hour only" was checked.
A bug has been reported for devices running KitKat that sometimes the bells ring at the wrong time. I am aware of this issue and will address it in the next version, which will be a complete rewrite, including an updated interface.
