The app crashes after showing an "app not responding" error message or the "passenger unlock" message. It doesn't count points until you press close or unlock. The messages usually pop up a minimum of 4 times each. All these problems started after the last update. For an app that is supposed to discourage distracted driving, it is requiring a lot of interaction!!! When is this going to be fixed?? I have sent several messages to support with no response.

We just released a new 2.6 version that provides a major improvement to battery consumption and fixes the very issue that you experienced. Can you update to this new version in the Google Play Store and give it a try?

Don't download this app, it's point system is too inconsistent. It's good in theory but the app's consistency makes it almost impossible to earn the discount you want. However if you do use it, just know that you can't use any kind of power saving mode on your phone. Also, don't use the open map button in the app because it does not allow you to gain points when you use it. Trust me, one time I got 200+ points and another time I only got 5 points when I used the map to travel a similar area.

Dinah, we are so sorry for your initial experience as point accrual accuracy and battery conservation are incredibly important to us. At this point, we have users turn the power saving mode off so that we can ensure SAFE2SAVE doesn't get killed by Android OS while in the background. We still have other battery saving logic running though!

Other than a huge battery drain I was happy with the app until the most recent update. The most recent update broke the app and I missed out on over 9 hours of driving! If this is fixed (the app, not my missed driving time) I'll bump my rating... Also, why can't I leave power save on with this? It sucks turning it on and off all the time Update 11/22/18: I'm very impressed with the response and quick fix to earn points again but now the app has a mind of its own. I've forced shut down but it keeps sending me notices to "don't tech and drive" even though I stopped driving 30 minutes ago and that's when I also shut down the app. Still want to be able to leave my battery in power save mode when using the app.
