This is a basic, but useful, app. It uses the US National Grid, an alternate system of navigation about which most people may be unaware. It utilizes data from both GPS and lat/long coordinates to determine location. It is being used more by Amateur Radio Operators (hams) who work with local EOC's to provide emergency communications; in this usage, it is more precise than the Maidenhead Grid Square system, which itself is accurate. The USNGapp is a simple app which I recommend highly! -- NØJAA.

Military veterans will feel right at home with this. Simple, accurate, and fast. No waiting for Google maps to load. No data signal needed. Just a view of the GPS satellites in the sky.
