"Emilly In Darkness" is an old school action-adventure game in which on one hand the character shoots, sets traps and learns new skills, but on the other hand the character must navigate a gloomy, complex world with a twisted and unpredictable plot, highlighted by cut-in animations and conversations with NPC's.
"Emilly in Darkness" tells the story of Emilly who, for reasons unknown, wakes up alone in a dark forest, and after a few moments is fatally gunned down by an unseen assassin. However, she does not die, at least not in the traditional sense of death. Instead, Emilly finds herself suspended in a grim and odd place, not so different from hell. She is lost, alone, surrounded by demons, and oddly enough, other forlorn people, people whose intentions are not always clear. This is just the beginning...

Tap the upper-right corner of the screen to move up and the lower-left corner to move down. Avoid the bombs and the hazardous spiked balls. Collect the candy to gain points.
Here is a description of the extra trippy power-ups that you will find in this free game:
The psychedelic 'Blue mushroom' power-up makes your salamander invincible for some time and lets you eat the hazardous balls and mines for additional free points, while showing a trippy rotating vortex in the background. Your vision will distort and things around you will appear to breathe, shrink and expand... In the blue mushroom mode eating candy restores your health - but beware, when the effect of the shroom wears off, your health will be reduced by half! The trippy 'Brown Mushroom' power-up will call up space age visions, which will make the hazards bounce from your salamander in weightlessness. The 'Slowdown' power-up will immediately destroy all hazardous balls present on the screen and will slow down the new ones. The 'Nucleus' power-up will engulf your axolotl salamander in a radiation aura that will destroy all hazards on contact. But beware - the radiation will burn and contaminate the candy too. The 'Fly Amanita' power-up will unleash a trip into the subconsciousness of a small salamander, who really wants to be a humpback whale. The 'Eye of the Beholder' power will change your perspective on the game completely. The psychedelic effect of the 'Wave-Particle Duality' power-up lets you slow down the constantly speeding-up stream of hazards by using up your life points. The 'Mexicana' mushroom sets the speed to the maximum, but sends you to a strange world with lots of super sweet red and white caramel candy. And a warning - do not eat the white mushrooms, unless you are ready to face the consequences.

Shoot a bomb or missile and it will magically morph into a pick-up. However, if you shoot a pick-up it will tragically morph into an anvil. Anvils cannot be destroyed but must be avoided.
