Works great Light weight streaming service, easy to construct a Tasker based radio alarm clock. Was able to replace a large radio application that only had one preset, and was cumbersome to control via media commands. Went from 34MBs down to 400KBs in storage.
I manage to get it working. But I learned that if you do not include "url:" and "name:" it will start playing "BBC 4 (FM)" always. ;) But I can't get it to completely stop. Like when you "PLAY", it starts the program and starts streaming the music. But when you "STOP", it only stops the streaming, it does not STOP the program. The program stays active in the notification-bar. How do I STOP/EXIT/KILL the "Intent Radio"???
"No internet connection." That's all it says no matter what stream I try to play on WiFi or 4G. Broken? Edit: restarting phone fixed this but it got stuck at buffering... after more fiddling it's now working. No idea why or what I did. Very obtuse app but I'm glad it's functioning.
Android N The app runs smoothly on Android N with only one small glitch: touch to pause and touch to restart has gone from persistent notification.
Simple and functional. Broadcasts its state so you can write your own error handling.
Just amazing. Pure and simple and wprks beautifully. I am running on Galaxy S7 G930U - stock 6.0.1 not rooted.
- Add permission to read external storage. This should allow playback of media stored there.
- Just an update to the default URL (the BBC have been diddling with their URLs).
- Considerably better (but not yet perfect) handling of drops due to
intermittent network connectivity.
- Now defaults to reconnect on network drops.
- Fixed minor bugs and/or inconsistencies.
