Nature was extremely generous to Strandzha and endowed it with an endless expanse of greenery and countless springs of clear water, and people created its fabulous history by inhabiting it with serpents, fairies and amazing legends about Atlanteans, gods and priestesses.
Strandzha Mountain stretches over the territory of two countries - Bulgaria and Turkey. But for the legends there are no limits. This guide offers you to follow the path of the legends and visit strange places on both sides of the border - sanctuaries and mysteries of antiquity. He will help you organize your travels by pointing out strange places related to local beliefs and the ways in which you can reach them.
The guide contains three cross-border routes in the legendary places of Strandzha Mountain and each of them can have a starting point from Bulgaria or Turkey. The routes are designed for travel by personal vehicle, but are also possible for public transport.
