About this app

TalkingPoints is a free application that lets you communicate with your children’s teachers and school. You will be able to send and receive messages through this application in your preferred language, because TalkingPoints will translate your message into English for teachers. Stay engaged and involved in your child’s learning by communicating and collaborating with their teacher and school using TalkingPoints!

Please fix rotating app to landscape mode when the phone display settings globally is LOCKED to potrait mode.... e Extremely annoying to have the app automatically rotate into landscape mode. When you're lying on your side in bed. Trying to review the latest messages before going to bed. Why would you override the phone setting? That says keep all apps in portrait. Mode totally are acceptable prior to the update. I didn't do this.

It's very easy to use especially if you don't skip the tutorial following your sign up! The only downside is that you'll find some of the teachers NEVER respond...which can be frustrating, especially if you're trying to find out how to fo about makeup work or extra credit to help bring a struggling students grade up. You can definately tell which ones are more caring and involved in your child's education and who really could care less...but that's not the apps fault🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

The user experience is needs work. 1) No ability to search or filter messages which leads to endless scrolling to try and find something you saw. 2) Communications from a teacher goes to all parents for that student, but responses from one caregiver are not shown to others– only to the teacher. When the teacher responds, the other caregiver has no context. UPDATED 10/8/22 because when I reached out to support about viewing files, I was given a workaround and followed up about the fixed version!
