Secure and functional As many have said, this app has almost no learning curve. You're off and running right away. I've had no problems with use or the app. Installed it on my wife's phone without telling her, she didn't even notice... she's not technical at all. That says it all, much better security without cost=win.
Great app, love how easy it is to be secure. One of my friends stopped using it and signal continues to insist on sending encrypted messages to them even after weeks. Couldn't find any way around this so I had to stop using signal for SMS, but I do love the security and privacy and will continue recommending it to my friends.
I quit WhatsApp. Wish I could record a quick voice note from within a chat (like WhatsApp), but other than that this is excellent. My partner has it on the iPhone and that version is severely lacking compared to this. Would be nice if they could get the same experience.
Functions very well This app has been the most reliable messaging app I've used. After two months of daily use to both other signal and non-signal users, no dropped messages. Beats kik and default messaging app on that issue.
Not updated to android m privacy How is it an app designed for privacy doesn't update to the latest privacy features available?? Bug fixes for Android N and still doesn't fully support Android M features. Also sync issues.
Privacy trumps functionality A few minor bugs and gaps in functionality, but I am sure they will be addressed soon. The real value with Signal is the protection and privacy it provides though use, and assurances to users of quality and security through open source development.
