Beacon improves emergency care anywhere, making emergency response dispatch and coordination possible anywhere there’s a mobile phone signal.
HOW TO USE THE BEACON MOBILE APP:
IMPORTANT!!: After registering, be sure to change the settings from "SMS" to "DATA" or you will be charged for the cost of international SMS.
1. Install and open the app
2. Enter your name, telephone number and email and click "Register". After you've entered your phone number in the app, you’ll receive an authentication token with a Key Code
3. Enter the Key Code where indicated and click "Confirm". Once the token has been verified, you will be sent to the Home screen
4. Navigate to the Settings tab on the bottom of the screen and make sure the toggles are set to "Data" and "On-Duty"
IMPORTANT!!: BE SURE TO CHANGE THE SETTINGS FROM "SMS" TO "DATA" OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE COST OF INTERNATIONAL SMS
You are now ready to receive and respond to emergency alerts.

The Beacon Mobile App is the companion smartphone app to the Beacon Emergency Dispatch Platform, developed by Trek Medics. Once activated through an agency account, the Beacon Mobile App allows first responders to receive emergency alerts from their local call center and be dispatched to local emergency incidents to provide care, transport and coordination. The Beacon Mobile App offers an enhanced smartphone version of the Beacon SMS module, ensuring end-to-end coordination of emergency response activities on Android devices. As part of these enhancements, the Beacon Mobile App offers several new features and functionalities for smartphone users, including:

Beacon allows decentralized dispatching to build emergency response networks anywhere there’s a mobile phone signal.
SIMPLE SET UP AND MANAGEMENT
Beacon pulls the cord on traditional “9-1-1” emergency dispatch technologies, allowing any personal device or laptop to receive alerts and automate the emergency response workflow.
Lots of responders? Lots of incidents? Users with both smartphones and feature phones? Beacon works as a standalone dispatch system or augments existing ones to meet local needs on a large scale.
