Set your preferences for when you want to do food rescues.
Get alerts when rescues become available. Choose rescues that fit your schedule. Rescue every day, every week, or just when you have some free time.
Volunteers get information on where to pick up the food and where to drop it off — we’ll guide you every step of the way.
Because you’ll drop off directly to organizations that distribute food, you can see firsthand your impact on food insecurity.
Take a selfie with your rescue and share it on social media to spread the word about We Don't Waste and inspire your friends to get involved! Use the hashtags #WeDontWaste and #WeRescue.

As a We Rescue volunteer, you’ll support local families, seniors, children, veterans, those recovering from chronic illness or addiction, and more communities across Colorado with essential access to food.
WHO IS WE DON’T WASTE
Our vision is that food goes to people, not landfills, and is accessible to all.
We Don’t Waste is a Denver-based food recovery nonprofit founded in 2009 that recovers surplus food from the food industry and distributes it to local nonprofit partners. We also educate the community on nutrition and food waste reduction and advocate for change in the systems that create food waste and food insecurity.
