A Perfect App For Testing Connection Speed...Unless You Need To Test 5GHz Networks It seems to work flawlessly on 2.4GHz networks, but the meter for download speeds doesn't play nice with my 5GHz connection. It seems to think I'm somehow getting 130+mbps downloads, and only 12mbps uploads from the opposite side of the building where my modem is set up. I'm paying for 50mbps download speeds. I have a difficult time believing the throughput is actually three times what I'm paying for, when it only uses about 20 of those when streaming YouTube and when the 2.4GHz speeds from that far are 10.
Works Flawlessly Great app for accurately testing Internet speeds. Only issue is the sometimes wierd automatic server selection.
4* for mobile version but more to it than you'd think I do get some odd automatic 'best' servers here in the UK... But a reiterated test on a few servers is the way to go anyway. Not what I'd use on PC but, despite worries about my upload accuracy... Which may be my line... I use this on tablet as comes close enough to readings from ISP engineers kit. Pretty too.. Keep at it devs!! WD!
Why On earth does this keep picking the wrong email address. I removed ads on my other email address, permanent ad removal, not this annual crap
There's a surprise in app The app is good, and anyone noticed this: after the speed test,if you drag down the speedometer showing the result, you will see a ferocious cat
Ifoundit If you were wondering if there is an easter egg, pull down the speed odometer after the test
Bug fixes and engine improvements for even more test accuracy.
If you rely on Speedtest to diagnose connectivity issues and keep your internet service provider and carriers honest, we'd be thrilled if you would leave us some feedback on Google Play. Thanks and happy testing!
