About this app
Accessible US is an innovative tool that will make your daily movement around the campus of the University of Silesia in Katowice (UŚ) easier and more effective. Through the internal navigation system, the application not only allows you to quickly find important places in buildings, but also offers additional functions to enable you to move safely and efficiently around the university and communicate within the academic community.
Main functions:
1. Navigation Inside Buildings
Easily find lecture halls, studios, libraries and other key locations around campus. Thanks to the intuitive internal map system, you will be able to quickly adapt the route to your current needs.
2. Panic Button
With your safety in mind, Accessible University of Silesia includes the Panic Button function. In the event of an emergency or threat, one click is enough for the application to automatically send a notification with your location to the appropriate services.
3. Summoning an Assistant
Need help or information? Thanks to the Assistance Recall function, nearby people also using the application will learn that someone needs assistance. Thanks to the internal navigation system, they will be able to locate you and provide you with support.
4. Fault – Reporting a Fault
Have you noticed a defect in the university building or something that needs improvement? Do you want to leave information that you like something or maybe you have an idea to improve the campus space? Thanks to the UŚterka function, you can easily report a problem related to infrastructure and have a real impact on your surroundings.
5. Communications and Announcements
Stay up to date with the latest information regarding campus life. Receive messages, add your announcements and be active in the student community.

The project is implemented as part of the project "DUO - University of Silesia - an accessible, universal and open university" financed by the European Union under the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development, Priority axis: III. Higher education for the economy and development, Measure: 3.5 Comprehensive university programs - TASK 5: Introduction of supporting technologies that increase students' independence - Building and implementing a mobile support application. Financing agreement number: POWR.03.05.00-00-A031/19-00.
