Devotion to Mary Immaculate is:
Imitation of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who gave herself to Mary, becoming dependent on her in earthly life: Then he went with them and returned to Nazareth and obeyed them.
Safe shelter from the evil that threatens us / The goods deposited in the Heart of Mary are safe - Satan no longer has access to them.
The way back to God, to the lost paradise. In her Immaculate Heart, God lived, whose name is Love. It is a meeting with the living God.
Fulfillment of the Holy Testament: Here is your mother - as the command of Christ to receive Mary for her Mother. She gives birth to us and brings us into the new life of God's children.
Devotion to Mary Should Be:
A personal act of will. This is our individual, conscious and voluntary decision. It is a response to God's invitation.
Unconditional. We give ourselves to her without expecting anything in return - the mere affiliation with Mary is a great gift of God. Believing in her goodness and love, we are joyfully dedicated to her.
Total. We give to Mary Immaculate everything: our mind, heart, will, soul, body, senses, emotions, memory, wounds, weaknesses, future, present, and past, death, eternity, our families and friends, activities, jobs, prayers, diseases, problems and suffering, material goods.
Permanently. Although it has a beginning, there is no end. Mary will give her once and she will never deny us again. We renew our trust, because we are weak and willing to forget.
Open. By renewing devotion, we can add new matters and circumstances. When we experience Mary's intervention, we get to know her more and more, and thus we trust her more and entrust us with further matters.
WHAT OR WHO CAN I GIVE TO MARY?
Self and everything that is mine: family, work, study, parish, community, homeland, etc. (according to the qualities mentioned above).
Other people, their affairs: institutions, organizations, matters, etc. Mary in Fatima asks for dedication to her Heart of atheistic Russia, promising peace in the world and conversion. We can give her to each and every one, her own and others' affairs, asking her for protection and intercession with God.
Every devotion to Mary is pleasing to her. It is best to do this on the Eucharist, if possible after a holy confession.
We express devotion in our own words in the simplicity of the heart or using the existing Devotional Acts, eg from the "Treaty on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Ludwika Grignon De Montfort '' or written by other saints and approved by the Church.
You are encouraged to express your devotion to Mary in writing with the signature: who, when and where he made the act of entrustment.
In difficulties, circumstances that are independent of us, it is enough to entrust to Mary with an inner act of will.
Many Saints and Blesseds followed the Marian consecration of Saint. John Paul II, Saint. Maksymilian M. Kolbe, Saint. Ludwik Grignnon De Montfort, Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński, martyrs from Niepokalanów: Blessed Pius Bartosik, Blessed Antoni Bajewski, bl. Tymoteusz Trojanowski, bl. Bonifacy Żukowski and many others.
"Brother, go give yourself to the Immaculate, do not worry, she will take care of everything," said St.Maxymilian, who was coming for advice.
