Really wanted to like it I noticed that my Galaxy Note 5 was frequently dropping the Wi-Fi connection after the Android 7.0 update. I thought this app would help, but it has done nothing to maintain a Wi-Fi connection. My husband's Galaxy Note 4, which does not yet have Android 7.0, has no problems maintaining the Wi-Fi connection, so I know this isn't an issue with my cable modem or router - they're working fine. While this app isn't causing this issue (I'm sure the new version of Android is), it certainly isn't solving it.
I have a Samsung Note 4, which I just updated to Marshmallow. Over the last week or so I have noticed that I have not been receiving WhatsApp messages until I unlock the phone. Also, when I have been trying to listen to TuneIn radio, as soon as the screen goes blank I lose the stream. This morning I decided to investigate this problem and found that it was a problem with Marshmallow. I installed this app and immediately was able to listen to the cricket and TuneIn radio, without any problem whatsoever. I have also just received a few messages on WhatsApp, from a friend, without any problem with the phone just sitting on the table . So in my case, on the Note 4, this app works perfectly.
Doesn't counter doze from killing wifi with screen off Android 6.0.1 moto g4-I want to keep wifi on while the screen is locked and I have video and audio going in the background playing through my Bluetooth speaker so it will not take my cell data. However, the wifi will still cut off when the phone insists on going into doze. I have doze set to not turn off wifi and battery saver is off. There is no way around doze that I can find.
This App Works My tablet always drops the WiFi signal, 4 to 5 times a day. But now with Best WiFi Keeper my tablet stays connected, losing signal only once a week or so. Great App! Saved my tablet from going into the trash can.
Fail. Another wifi fixing app that fails to deliver. My Xperia Z3 has a strange habit of losing connection with my WIFI router even when both devices are in the same room. The WiFi setting is still on but the smart phone is too dumb to reconnect and I still haven't found an app that solves this issue. Also uses too much battery.
Finally! This is exactly what I needed. I have YouTube Red and I use YouTube Music. I turn cellular data off on my phone because WiFi would drop and then YouTube Music would switch to 4G and use up all my data. Now I don't have to worry about this because WiFi stays on. Thank you dev!
