Mobile version of the dofsimulator.net online tool.

Calculates camera depth of field and background blur and simulates it on a photo for any lens, camera and distance combination with different types of lens blur (bokeh).

You can choose from 4 ultra high resolution backgrounds, 8 models of different height and 10 types of bokeh.

Parameters that can be set:
- sensor/film size or camera model
- lens focal length
- aperture
- optical converter
- distance of the model from the camera and the background
- circle of confusion

The application calculates:
- depth of field range
- background blur size
- hiperfocal distance
- diffraction effects

Any change in the parameters instantly affects the preview - you can easily observe its influence on the resulting photo. Saving the parameters sets on a list allows to directly compare the outcome of different equipment configurations.

Comprehensive help and a guide that presents all the features helps to understand the meaning of all the presented parameters even for beginner amateurs of photography.

Really excellent to see the understand the combination of focal length and f stop number to use on your camera to get the desired look you want...Especially good to see at what distance and what part to focus @ each parameters to get the optimum bokeh we all crave for..you can easily input your camera model and lens and get to see what all is possible with those. Also helps in allowing to simulate other lens's effect on your camera before actually purchasing. kudos to the developer and well done.

5 stars! If you a visual learner and want to understand how depth of field works with different aperture settings and distances, then the DOF simulator app and/or website is an incredible resource. Excellent for photography students. Highly recommended.

Crashes on install. Pop-up saying to clear cache as app has a bug. Cleared cache, still crashes. It's a shame because the web version isn't mobile optimized and this is pretty useful.
