⚠️Measurement Limitations:
Phone microphones are primarily designed for normal voice and general audio capture, not professional acoustic measurement. Very loud, very quiet, or unusual-frequency sounds may be limited by microphone hardware, device processing, and manufacturer settings.

For this reason, Noise Level Meter DBA readings should be treated as estimates rather than certified measurements. Do not rely on the app for occupational safety, hearing protection decisions, legal testing, or other situations requiring calibrated professional equipment.

Ratings and reviews

It's rubbish, it doesn't give you real time reading. There is a lag between the instance the sound is produced and the meter response. One would understand it, if it was an analogue meter, and the inertia of the needle might contribute to the delay, even so it won't be this much. This is a digital reader, despite made to look like an analogue type. Therefore, I shall be deleting the app. If I had the time I would build one my self.

The app appears to work well, I'm still having troubles with setup and adjustments. it would be nice if the settings were user friendly

Worthless app. Uninstalled within 5 minutes. In a closed, extremely quiet recording studio the needle was jumping between 10 and 45 dB.
