The Parish of the Good Shepherd in Warsaw - Miedzeszyn is a young community. The first works related to the creation of the new Pastoral Center began on July 6, 2004, under the watchful eye of Father Bronisław Mick. On October 10, the first Mass was celebrated in the square, presided over by His Excellency Archbishop Sławoj Głódź. During the Eucharist, he consecrated the square, the cross and the walls of the chapel under construction. On Christmas night, the first Mass was celebrated in the walls of the chapel under construction, but only on November 1, 2005, a permanent order of daily Masses was introduced.
By decree of December 11, 2008, Archbishop Henryk Hoser SAC established the parish and appointed Father Bronisław Mick as the first parish priest. The decree was announced on December 25.
On August 9, 2009, Father Ireneusz Węgrzynowicz became the new parish priest, who undertook many initiatives aimed at integrating the community and further modernization of the chapel.
