Why won't you use Google Play ID, instead of asking my data for the license? I've bought several apps that do not need my IMEI, and used others with trial period with no problem, so why would you? And then: - It seems there is no SMB 3.0 support - No subtitles option on video cast - WebDAV does not work while it does perfectly on my PC.
This is much more professional than that ad infested alternative which used to be good. The fact that it comes with a 14 day trial and is a paid app shows the market they are catering to. Very nice. For managing files on the android device, it is great.... However, it does not offer SMB v2 or v3 protocol for network shares, just the vulnerable deprecated v1. This was the main reason I wanted it, to access my NAS. I won't be buying the full app until they implement a newer SMB protocol.
Simple and easy to use but still has the necessary functionality included. Moved to this after years of using ES File Explorer but got sick of the constant ads, alerts and worst of all the app switcher. Will be happy to purchase the full version after the trial expires as I have no problems supporting the developers of good apps like this.
Wonderful work, not only functional, but also stylish. If you plan to add more features, new files logger would be great. A little strange, though, the back arrow in the upper left of Properties window works only when examining single file or folder. It doesn't respond when displaying properties of multiple files or folder. I need to tap Back button on my device to do that. Another thing is that SE Image Viewer can't display .png images correctly. Still, this app is a remarkable work.
Just bought the pro version. Loves the simplicity. But I think you can do a much better job polishing the UI keeping it simplistic. Also I have an issue with the UI icon graphics elements. They are not at all sharp. The icon looks like they are originally of a smaller size and has been scaled up. I also dont like the thumbnail picture which apperas when I scroll from left for expanding the menu. Even though the best File explorer on the Play store.
TL;DR: the best file explorer for Android. Beautiful and powerful. Honestly, I rarely buy an app. However, Solild Explorer is an exception. As a replacement for the other "file explorer app" that is now full of bloatware and spam, Solid Explorer is indeed a solid one. Beautifully design, and powerful as well. LAN and ftp connection can be made easily. And, it's cheap. 6-pack of beers cost more than this app. :) A minor suggestion: could you make a pop-out menu when a file/folder is long-pressed? For me, it's more intuitive since it resembles right-click on pc. Or maybe add some option to switch between pop-out and taskbar menu.
