TL;DR: the best file explorer for Android. Beautiful and powerful. Honestly, I rarely buy an app. However, Solild Explorer is an exception. As a replacement for the other "file explorer app" that is now full of bloatware and spam, Solid Explorer is indeed a solid one. Beautifully design, and powerful as well. LAN and ftp connection can be made easily. And, it's cheap. 6-pack of beers cost more than this app. :) A minor suggestion: could you make a pop-out menu when a file/folder is long-pressed? For me, it's more intuitive since it resembles right-click on pc. Or maybe add some option to switch between pop-out and taskbar menu.
This is the only storage app you need. It's very clean, intuitive, and useful. I had to look for another file explorer app with FTP after ES File Explorer went rogue by sneaking in ads into notifications. I seldom buy apps, but after seeing user ratings and multiple recommendations, I bought it. And I love it. It supports Samba (Windows file sharing), FTP, and other online cloud like Dropbox and OneDrive. I always go for this app rather than the built-in stock file explorer. I strongly recommend it.
One of the best Android apps ever made. Please consider adding Folder and file sync between storage options, external SD cards, cloud etc. Update: please allow resuming downloads over FTP and other services. In countries with spotty internet I can't download anything.
When it comes to file managers, it is challenging to find anything which comes close to this little beauty. The ability to set network locations, create home screen shortcuts, and run an ftp server, all contained in a clean and customisable app are just some of the reasons I love this app. It just keeps ticking boxes.
All I wanted to do was copy files from internal memory to an external USB drive but the new copy/paste menu overrides the navigation menu and won't let me switch. If there's a way to do it right now it's too complicated to accomplish for such a basic task. Waste of money.
Fantastic. Tried a stack of the file managers including the well known ones. All of them made it more difficult to do something than this did. Does everything I want it to which was moving files around and administrative functions on those files between a nas server, 2 google drives accounts, a couple pc's and my android tablet. 2 panes, side by side, drag from one side to the other, boom, done and it looked pretty doing it. Only wish I could throw money at it to get more features whatever they may be. Maybe pick the kids up from school or cook dinner. Yeah, there the features I want. Seriously, maybe give an option to change the font/icon size so I can see more on the screen so I don't have to scroll up and down as much.
