About this app

FinnSailing records and analyzes your sailing in the Finn class — from a quiet training session to a full regatta with a race committee and the whole fleet on the water.

TRAINING
Start a session with one button. The app records your GPS track, speed and course, plus heel and pitch from the phone's sensors. Back ashore you replay the session on the map with a timeline and metrics: distance, moving time, average and top speed.

Recording keeps running with the screen off and the phone in your pocket — the track does not stop after a few seconds.

RACING
An organizer creates the event, competitors enter with their sail number. The race committee lays marks, builds courses and runs the race: starting procedure, general recall, postponement, finish. Every decision reaches the fleet immediately.

A session entered into a regatta broadcasts your position live, so the committee and spectators follow the whole fleet on a map in the browser. After the race you replay every boat at once.

START TIMER
Countdown with voice callouts, and the option to sync your clock with the race committee — everyone starts on the same second.

EQUIPMENT AND TUNING
Store your hull, mast, sail and boom, and the rig settings used in each session. Go back to what worked in a given wind.

WEATHER AND CHARTS
Forecast for your sailing area, day and night maps, and OpenSeaMap navigation marks — tappable, with position and light characteristics.

WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL
Everything is saved on the phone and uploaded when the connection returns. Losing signal on the water interrupts nothing.

PRIVACY
Sessions are private by default. You choose which ones to publish or share by link. You can delete your account and all data from inside the app.

First public release.

Record your sailing with GPS, heel and pitch, then replay the session with distance, moving time and speed. Race features: events with entry lists, marks and courses, starting procedure with a synchronised timer, and live fleet positions for the race committee.

Also: start timer with voice callouts, equipment and rig settings per session, weather forecast, sea marks on the map. Everything is saved offline and uploaded when the connection returns.
