What Pocket Thai Speaking is NOT:

This is not another app made by a company that gets a list of the most common vocabulary words in 20+ languages and creates a bunch of apps with simple picture/word matching games.  I spent years living in Thailand and studying Thai including reading many grammar books, creating and reviewing thousands of flashcards, and having lots of conversations with friends and acquaintances.  This app contains lengthy grammar explanations and cultural nuances that other programs don't include, because their authors probably don't even speak the languages of the apps that they create.

Ratings and reviews

Had tried multiple other Thai apps and often deleted them within minutes. The couple I kept I kinda dreaded using. This app comes at it from a COMPLETELY different angle and gives context totally absent from anything else I've seen. It makes me WANT to keep using it. And I usually can't even be bothered writing a review, so the fact that I can for this is meaningful. Great work 🙏

I love this app. Right away it explained the important of vowel length and tone. These were the things that I could hear in native speakers but was unable to properly duplicate. I made a lot of progress quickly after finding this app.

I was able to use this app while i have been accompanied with thai friends. I found it very useful and they like it to, it made them smile :) this will be my first asian language and the first time I use only audio material to get started (because the different writing system 555). First few lessons done and its just an excellent progress. far more effective than classic language course books. if i ever try to learn a new language with latin alphabet i will approach it the same way, audio/speach
